When the road is empty…

I was wondering even after reaching office. I didn’t even pay any attention to Arpit as well when he asked to wait near the building lobby. I think so. I was just engrossed with the thought of what did Nishant mean to say, by next time. How will we meet? Do I really want to meet him? I don’t know.

Notification on my teams!

 I quickly checked and saw it was Arpit.

Arpit: Hi

Me: Hello

Arpit: You left so quick!

Me: Sorry. Did I forget anything?

Arpit: No, I was calling you to wait, but you left.

Me: Sorry, was occupied within my thoughts.

Arpita: Could sense that.

Me: How?

Arpit: Because I am right in front of your cubicle, texting from my mobile team, and can see those tensed lines over your forehead. Work pressure?

I quickly looked up and saw him smiling at me. I cleared my thoughts and passed him a smile.

Arpit: Wanna join us for morning coffee?

Me: Umm, (trying to avoid) … Some work I need to finish.

Arpit: Come on! Let’s go. It’s just the start of office. One cup of tea or coffee or juice won’t harm much of your deadlines.

Me: Okay.

I did not want to leave but I think, he was right. Some coffee won’t hamper much. 

We went downstairs and over our morning refresh sips, I saw Ravi running fast towards us.

Ravi: What Arpit, you came without me!

Arpit: I got bored with you, see Inaya also joined us today.

Ravi: Yes, hello. Nice to meet you again. 

Arpit: Inaya, I hope you don’t mind me dragging you here for morning refreshers, I know you are busy so thought to lighten up. 

Me: Yeah! I am fine. Thank you.

Arpit: So, how are you planning to leave today? s-Ride? I am thinking to ask Nishant also. 

Me: What if Nishant also joins? I will break his head then. umm, clearing my thought I replied, yes. why not? At what time you will be leaving?

Arpit: Mostly at 6:00 pm. Is that okay?

Me: Sounds okay.

Ravi: Good then, Arpit will not eat my head alone. Now he will eat yours as well. 😀

Arpit: Very funny. Let me ask this guy, he seems sweet, but at one instance, how can I comment? Right Inaya?

Me: Sorry?

Arpit: I mean, I am calling this man. Let’s see.
