I was there standing, watching you leaving,
You shut the door in silence, ignoring my presence.
But I didn’t cry, trust me, I didn’t.
Your words were hurting, but I didn’t complain.
Your words were painful, but I didn’t want you to explain.
I looked at the mirror, I was shivering,
Closed my eyes, ‘as I was silently crying.
I don’t know what was happening,
Everything seemed to be empty, that my heart felt hefty.
Was never prepared for this though, it has created a hollow.
All I wanted was a place here; here with you, holding your hand.
But it was never enough for all my attempt!
I hoped that you would come,
I didn’t understand, I felt so numb.
I thought I was wrong, and I need to be corrected.
Accepting my mistakes, whenever you have rejected.
Tried to change myself, so that I can be respected.
